Low carbon
Carbon is limited to 0.02% maximum to reduce graphitization risk at elevated temperature.
Low-carbon commercially pure wrought nickel
The low-carbon version of Nickel 200, selected for caustic resistance, conductivity and improved suitability for elevated-temperature service.
Representative product-form image. Confirm actual surface, dimensions and condition with the quotation.Material overview
Nickel 201 retains the corrosion resistance, conductivity and fabrication characteristics of commercially pure nickel while controlling carbon to 0.02% maximum. This low-carbon chemistry helps prevent graphitization and carbon-related embrittlement during prolonged exposure above 315 C.
Carbon is limited to 0.02% maximum to reduce graphitization risk at elevated temperature.
Strong resistance to caustic alkalies and many reducing chemicals.
Useful thermal and electrical conductivity with good ductility and weldability.

Buyer questions
Quick answers for initial sourcing. Confirm critical engineering requirements against the governing specification.
Nickel 201 limits carbon to 0.02% maximum, making it better suited to prolonged elevated-temperature service where Nickel 200 can graphitize.
Yes. Like Nickel 200, it is widely selected for resistance to caustic alkalies, but the actual concentration, temperature and contaminants must be reviewed.
Send product form, standard, dimensions, condition, quantity, operating temperature, testing and MTC requirements.
