Strip or coil
State the governing sheet/strip specification, thickness × width, tolerances, temper or condition, edge type, coil ID/OD or maximum coil weight and surface requirements.
Grade identity
Use Nickel 201 / UNS N02201 and the drawing designation. Do not accept Nickel 200 as an automatic substitute; chemistry and service requirements differ.
Quantity basis
List pieces and weight per bar size, or coil count and net weight per strip size. Separate prototype and repeat-demand quantities.
Inspection and delivery
Close the documentation gaps before ordering
Certificate
Define the required MTC/certificate type and data fields. Do not request “full certificate” without stating the controlling specification.
Dimensional inspection
Identify measurement points, sampling rate and reporting expectations for diameter, thickness, width, length, straightness or coil geometry.
Surface and marking
Describe allowable surface condition and protective method; specify tag, grade, heat/lot and purchase-order marking requirements.
Packing
State bar-bundle or coil protection, moisture/corrosion controls, lifting limits, export case requirement and destination handling constraints.
