Explosion Bonded Clad Plate
For corrosion-resistant process equipment and pressure-component projects, explosion bonded clad plate combines a specified cladding material with a structural base plate. Laixi reviews the drawing, material combination, inspection and delivery requirements and coordinates the appropriate supply route.

Cladding and base materials are specified separately
Explosion bonding is a project-specific joining route. The material combination, thickness ratio, dimensions and acceptance criteria must be agreed before a quotation can be compared.
Base plate
Identify the structural base material, plate grade, thickness and any pressure-vessel or fabrication-code requirement. Do not assume the base plate from the cladding grade alone.
Bond configuration
Specify single-side or double-side cladding, cladding-side location, nominal layer thickness and any unbonded edge, weld-preparation or machining allowance.
Finished dimensions
Provide plate width, length, total thickness, tolerances, flatness requirements and whether the plate will be formed, machined or welded after delivery.
Inspection planning
Agree acceptance and documentation before production
Inspection requirements affect material routing, lead time, packing and quotation scope.
Bond integrity
State the requested examination method, coverage, acceptance criteria and reporting format from the governing specification or approved inspection plan.
Material traceability
List the requested material test certificate level and the cladding/base-plate traceability required for the project documentation package.
Third-party inspection
If an agency, hold point or witness point is required, include it in the first RFQ together with the inspection location and acceptance procedure.
Fabrication information
Attach the drawing, data sheet and any forming, cutting, edge-preparation, overlay-welding or corrosion-allowance requirement that could affect supply condition.
