Product identity

Resolve four questions before requesting price

Classification

State ERNiCrMo-3 and the applicable AWS/SFA A5.14 edition or project-approved equivalent. Do not order from “Alloy 625” alone.

Process and form

Identify GTAW straight rod, GMAW spool or another qualified process, plus diameter, rod length, spool type and net package weight.

Welding control

Provide base metals, joining/overlay purpose, service, governing construction code and the qualified WPS/PQR or approved-consumable requirement.

Lot control

Define batch segregation, label data, certificate, testing, manufacturer restriction and inspection hold points before the offer.

Commercial comparison

Make competing offers comparable

Package basis

Compare price using the same diameter, package type, net weight and number of units; gross carton weight is not consumable quantity.

Documentation basis

Check whether the price includes the requested lot certificate, origin/manufacturer identification, test data and third-party inspection.

Packaging basis

Confirm moisture protection, spool/rod restraint, label preservation, carton or case configuration and export marking.

Delivery basis

Compare Incoterm, destination, shipment lot, required date and any partial-delivery rule. Lead time is order-specific.
